چکیده
A new morphology of Prussian blue microcrystals has been prepared by selective etching. By thermal decomposition, PB has been transformed into mesoporous magnetic iron(III) oxide.

Selective capture of cesium and thallium from natural waters and simulated wastes with copper ferrocyanide functionalized mesoporous silica.
Copper(II) ferrocyanide on mesoporous silica (FC-Cu-EDA-SAMMS) has been evaluated against iron(III) hexacyanoferrate(II) (insoluble Prussian Blue) for removing cesium (Cs(+)) and thallium (Tl(+)) from natural waters and simulated acidic and alkaline wastes. From pH 0.1-7.3, FC-Cu-EDA-SAMMS had greater affinities for Cs and Tl and was less affected by the solution pH, competing cations, and matr...
متن کاملHighly dispersed iron oxides on mesoporous carbon for selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol with molecular oxygen.
Highly dispersed iron oxide supported catalysts, prepared using HNO3-treated CMK-3 mesoporous carbons as supports, exhibit relatively high catalytic activity in selective oxidation of benzyl alcohol with oxygen.
متن کاملAn Investigation of Prussian Blue Analogues by Mc)ssbauer Spectroscopy and Magnetic Susceptibility
The Miissbauer spectra and magnetic susceptibilities have been obtained for a series of Prussian Blue analogues of general formula MjAIMB(CN)&.mHzO where MA and MB are transition metal ions, j and k vary with the oxidation states of MA and MB and m typically has values from 8 to 14. The compounds were prepared from the hexacyano acids or with large quaternary ammonium counterions and are theref...
متن کاملElaboration of Prussian Blue Analogue/Silica Nanocomposites: Towards Tailor-Made Nano-Scale Electronic Devices
The research of new molecular materials able to replace classical solid materials in electronics has attracted growing attention over the past decade. Among these compounds photoswitchable Prussian blue analogues (PBA) are particularly interesting for the elaboration of new optical memories. However these coordination polymers are generally synthesised as insoluble powders that cannot be integr...
متن کاملMössbauer and Magnetic Studies of Iron-Zeolite and Iron-Cobalt Zeolite Catalysts Used in Synthesis Gas Conversion
Medium-pore (diameter ~ 6A) zeolites such as ZSM-5 and silicalite impregnated with Group VIII metals provide selective catalytic pathways for the conversion of synthesis gas to gasoline or olefins. Mössbauer and magnetic studies on these catalysts containing iron or iron plus cobalt are reported. The zeolites were impregnated with metal nitrate solutions, reduced, and carbided to yield showed F...
